Harnett authorities took her into custody and then released her after questioning. Authorities have not filed any charges in the case and Deputy Clark is not charged with a crime.
Sources tell Eyewitness News the Clarks have a history of domestic violence, and there may have been an incident in the last two days that lead to the shooting.
The Lee County Sheriff's Department has not commented on the shooting or the employment status of Deputy Clark.
