When it reopens in 2010, it'll be a combination YMCA and Montessori magnet middle school.
While the building is closed for renovations, members will be able to use other Triangle area YMCAs at no extra charge.

DURHAM In 2007, officials said they planned to close the facility that's been a fixture in the community since 1966, but thanks to the support of nearby residents, Durham County and the Durham school district stepped in and offered to buy and upgrade it.
