Just over a week ago, Beaverdam was hed to be shut down, because of the same problem. But they later re-opened the beach just in time for the Fourth of July weekend.

High bacteria levels also forced it to close in June. Sandling Beach was also closed in May because of the bacteria problem.
The lake is not closed to fishing and other swimming areas at Falls Lake will remain open.
