According to the Mining Journal of Marquette, three other people were injured when 28-year-old Dustan Lyle Bowen of Sanford, Mich. drove into a crowd of people walking along the side of a road.
Jonel Hoogterp of Durham remains in critical Condition.
Bowen faces charges including second-degree murder and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He remains jailed on $1 million bond.
