Police find man shot in street

SOUTHERN PINES Officers found Daniek Davon Burns with a gunshot wound to the chest around 11:30 p.m. on July 31.

The officers were responding to a shooting call in the 300 block of South Stephens St.

Burns was transported to First Health Moore Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
