An 83-year-old woman has been charged with running past the stopped school bus.

Family said she will be laid to rest on Monday at Raleigh Memorial Park on Glenwood Avenue.

Her tragic death came just days after her parents celebrated their wedding day.

"So it was a real celebratory time for their family to have to go through the opposite spectra of loss," said Jay Spungin with Urban Food Group.

Hernandez's parents, Alfonzo and Elena, along with several other family members, have been long-time employees of the Urban Food Group's restaurants.

On Saturday, the multi-restaurant group will offer their support by contributing 100 percent of their tips and wages at all of their restaurants. Vivace, Coquette Brasserie, Porter's City Tavern and Frazier's Bistro in Raleigh will all participate.

"I think they all know that what they lose and don't earn that day is a very small price considering the impact of what they can do for this family," Spungin said. "What you can do to help this family is simply go out and have dinner like you would any night. This is just something we want to do to take care of members of our family and our community in the restaurant."

The PTA at Hernandez's school, Green Elementary, has also established a memorial fund in her honor. Donations can be made in her name to BB&T Bank on Duraleigh Road in Raleigh.

Hernandez's funeral is scheduled for this morning.
