The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says it's investigating a series of home invasion style robberies by men pretending to be police officers. All the hold-ups have been in the in the Dudley area over the last month.

In each, at least five men forced entry into the homes and assaulted and robbed the victims. The suspects were displaying law enforcement insignias and represented themselves as law enforcement.

The victims have all been of Hispanic descent.

The first home invasion happened on August 10 on Eagles Nest Rd., the second on August 25 on Holloman Lane, and the third on September 5 on Gold Park Dr.

Investigators say it's possible that there have been more attacks that victims have not reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at (919) 731-1493. You can also call Crimestoppers at (919) 735-2255.

Investigators say the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
