According to the wreck report, 39-year-old John Owen Bradley Jr. hit 66-year-old Rayfield Simmons as he crossed the street.
Bradley was going the speed limit and did attempt to stop, but still hit Simmons.
Bradley has been charged with DWI and had an open container in the car at the time of the accident.
