It read, "FOR SALE BY CONTRACT - Jake Delhomme, NFL QB. 11 Years. 6'2" 215 lbs. Age 34. 15 TDs in 2008, 12 INTs. Loyal. Needs a Loving Home. Serious Offers, Please. Trades Accepted. Contact: John Fox @ 800 South Mint St, Charlotte, NC (704) 358 7000."
Fans have been very vocal about their disappointment with Delhomme.
In Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, he threw four interceptions.
However, despite the opinions of frustrated fans, Delhomme is unlikely to leave the team anytime soon. The Panthers just renewed his contract, giving him $42.5 million for a 5-year deal that includes $20 million in guaranteed money.
When asked about the team's performance Sunday, receiver Steve Smith told the Associated Press the Panthers "sucked" on offense after DeAngelo Williams' 11-yard TD run on the opening drive.
When asked how to fix his problems, Delhomme responded," Be a man. Get ready to go back to work."
