MacDowell hosts screenings at NC home

ASHEVILLE The film is about the mass sexual assault of women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Now, she's taking the Emmy-nominated film "The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo" to a larger audience.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reported that MacDowell will host screenings Thursday, Saturday and Sept. 27 at the Fine Arts Theatre to benefit Our Voice, an Asheville organization that assists rape victims.

MacDowell is best known for her roles in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Groundhog Day."
