On January 5, police say she was driving a school bus that struck a SUV, killing the driver.
According to the police report, the bus was traveling west on Morrisville Carpenter Road when it ran off the road, came back onto the road at the intersection, crossed over the center line and struck the SUV on its driver's side.
Lincoln Woods, 25, of Cary was killed. He served in Iraq and was an air traffic controller at Raleigh/Durham International Airport.
Police initially said they were looking for a gray Ford Taurus that may have run a stop sign at the intersection.
Investigators determined that even if the Taurus ran the stop sign, Wilson had time to react and avoid running off the road and avoid the collision.
A judge sentenced Wilson to 18 months of probation Thursday.
