Authorities said everyone made it out of the duplexes alive.
One of the two apartments involved was occupied, the other was vacant. Officials said the fire burned through the roof of both units.
Six fire departments had to be called to the scene, including some from Fort Bragg and Cumberland County. Firefighters were able to put the fire out in about 20 minutes.
Officials said the cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
