High school opens student-run credit union

KERNERSVILLE, NC R.B. Glenn High School in Kernersville hopes the student-run bank can provide lessons about finances. The school is teaming with Allegacy Federal Credit Union.

The partnership is designed to give students experience in personal finance so they can make educated decisions about money.

North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan will be attending Monday's opening. The Democrat's first piece of legislation in Congress would provide states with incentives to expand financial literacy education.
