Two houses burned in Fayetteville neighborhood

FAYETTEVILLE Crews responded to two separate house fires on Rivercliff Road around 3:25 a.m. Monday. Both homes were destroyed.

Investigators say 2740 and 2777 Rivercliff did not have power or utilities connected at the time of the fire. Homes on adjacent lots were damaged due to the heat. No injuries were reported.

Investigators have not said what caused the fires.

The Fayetteville Fire Department and members of the Fayetteville Fire Investigation Team, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, the SBI and the ATF are investigating.
