The restaurant, called Giorgio, will offer Mediterranean themed foods with a focus on local ingredients.
It will be at High House Road and Cary Parkway, which was previously occupied by Ocean Grill. Prices will range from $12 to $22 for dinner and $5 to $8 for lunch, Bakatsias said.
Bakatsias is part-owner of six restaurants around the Triangle: Spice Street and Bin Fifty-Four, both in Chapel Hill, and Vin Rouge, Nasher Museum Café, Parizade and Vita, all in Durham.
Over the summer, he closed George's Garage, a popular Ninth Street restaurant in Durham, after the building lease expired.
