2 more Cary homes burgled while families slept

CARY, NC

"How or if these burglaries are related is still being investigated, but what we can say for sure is that it's a very serious concern for us any time break-ins occur while families are sleeping, and we need everyone's help in protecting against these criminals," said Captain Mike Williams.

ABC11 Eyewitness News reported the first burglary on Monday. Shira Rose said when her family awoke Sunday morning, their valuables were gone. She said someone walked into their home overnight and took several electronics, including a flat screen TV and a laptop computer - all while the family slept in the second floor of the home. The burglars overrode the motorized garage door to get it all out.

Police are warning residents to keep all doors and windows locked to help prevent these kinds of thefts. They also want residents to call if they see suspicious or idling cars in neighborhoods - especially at night.
