Troubleshooter: $400 car part

WILSON

"He was being told it should be in any day and as soon as it came in on UPS he would call. Days would go, weeks would go by," recalled Daniel.

The part was ordered last September from Bissette Performance and delivery was supposed to take two to three days.

"After days went by, we couldn't get him to call us back and weeks went by, he made several trips no response. No reply, that was the frustrating part, no communication," said Daniel.

Daniel says he even called the manufacturer to see if there was a problem on their end.

"They did not have an order," he said he was told.

So Daniel says his dad went to Bissette Performance to see what the problem was.

"He was being told it should be in any day and as soon as it came in on UPS he would call," said Daniel.

But that never happened, so after 14 weeks Daniel contacted ABC11 Eyewitness News Troubleshooter Diane Wilson.

"Within hours we had a call that he was in the process of getting the money and he would call us back," said Daniel.

Daniel's dad got his full refund of $414.

"I can't tell you how grateful I am," said Daniel.

Refund in hand, the Daniels were able to order the part directly from the manufacturer.

As for Bissette Performance, the owner said the mix-up happened because he kept waiting for the part, thinking he could get it, but unfortunately he couldn't as he says only two vendors make it.

He said he would get the money to Mr. Daniel ASAP, which he did. He said he just wanted to make sure the customer is happy. Mr. Daniel is happy now with his full refund.
