Hearts with Haiti, the Raleigh based non-profit that runs a group of homes for disabled and street children, announced Wednesday that it's received a $100,000 donation from the Puerto Rican band Wisen y Yandel for Haiti earthquake relief.

"We have been overwhelmed with the concern and generosity of many individuals since the earthquake," said Cheryl Proctor, board chair for Hearts with Haiti, in a news release. “But this gift surpasses anything we might have imagined."

The group said its St. Joseph Family home in Port au Prince was devastated by the tremor. The home's director was seriously injured and is now recuperating in Raleigh.
