The Guilford County Sheriff's Office said Richard Brandon Wells, 31, of Zebulon, was arrested Thursday in Raleigh. Investigators said he had been
chatting online with an undercover sheriff's deputy posing as a 14-year-old girl for several months.
Deputies said Wells told the undercover officer he was willing to travel to Greensboro for sex.Wells was hired as a Raleigh firefighter in 2004 and holds the rank of First Class Firefighter. He has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of his case.
