Durham man arrested in bank robbery

DURHAM Authorities say the suspect entered the bank shortly after 1 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money and threatening to use a weapon.

The man fled with an undisclosed amount of money and got in a small white car with two other people.

Officers stopped the car on South Roxboro Street near Carlton Crossing Drive a short time later and arrested 53-year-old Cameron Lawrence Taylor.

Taylor was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and placed in Durham County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
