Mother charged for falling asleep on baby

HARNETT COUNTY Paramedics were called to 23-year-old Destiny Judd's apartment on December 26, 2009. She allegedly rolled over and suffocated her son while sleeping with him and another child on the sofa.

An autopsy indicated 7-week-old Jordan Judd died from asphyxiation.

Authorities have charged Judd with involuntary manslaughter. Police say they had warned Judd not to sleep with her children in 2006 after a similar death of a newborn.

According to reports, in October 2006 Judd accidentally suffocated a 5-week-old infant she was sleeping with.

Judd is being held in Harnett County Jail under $100,000 bond.
