DURHAM Authorities say the man entered the store on Fayetteville Road shortly after midnight.

The man first struck the pharmacist on her arms and demanded Oxycontin. As he was leaving the store, he hit a female employee on her head with a metal cane, causing serious head injury.

Investigators say they believe they have identified the suspect, but are not releasing his name at this time.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 40 to 50-years-old.

Police say he has tanned skin with either freckles or an uneven skin tone. He is about 5' 6" to 5' 8" tall with a medium build.

The suspect had sandy blond/gray balding hair and light-colored eyes. He was wearing a dark colored, possibly gray tweed blazer, white/gray T-shirt, dark colored shorts and sandals.
