Raleigh offers free bus fare on Earth Day

RALEIGH

The celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. on April 17 at the Bicentennial Plaza and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh.

There will be activities for the entire family including live music, vendors, games and food. The purpose of the event is to celebrate, educate and motivate people about sustainable living.

The City of Raleigh is encouraging attendees to green commute to the event using the city buses. All routes will be free for the day and if you take the bus downtown, you can also use Raleigh's free downtown circulator service -- the R line.
