Police said Christine Jackson, 31, and Jemonte Spragley, 27, were arguing near the back of a home on Powell Drive. Jackson went inside the home and closed the door, but investigators said Spragley broke the glass door and entered.
That's when detectives say Jackson stabbed him in the neck with a knife. He was pronounced dead at Nash General Hospital.
In addition to the second-degree murder charge, Jackson was charged with assaulting a government official sand marijuana possession. She's being held without bond.
