Antonio Simmons, 23, allegedly entered a Reidsville church during service, grabbed a woman by her arm, pulled her hair and choked her. After Simmons refused to leave, church members removed Simmons from the sanctuary.
Simmons left the scene but a deputy spotted him a short time later and arrested him.
Simmons faces several charges, including domestic assault on a female and disorderly conduct by disturbing a religious service. He is jailed under a $5,000 bond.
