It happened at the Highlands Chapter building at 807 Carol Street.
The Red Cross said the Highlands Chapter serves a five county area consisting of a population of 589,000 and is solely dependent on donations in order to meet the needs of its geographical area.
It said a loss of this magnitude can directly affect day-to-day operations.
