Their search ended just before 11 p.m., with the recovery of a body.
Friends tell ABC 11 they were having a cookout earlier in the day when their friend Omar Diaz, 23, went in for a swim in one of the coves.
They say he was an experienced swimmer, but got tired, waved his arms for help, and went under water.
Friends jumped in to see if they could save him, but they could not see him. He had not been seen since.
