Shoplifting turns violent in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE Police say three women tried taking things from the Hobby Lobby store on Skibo Road last month. Authorities say when a security guard confronted the women, things turned violent.

"They were punching with their fists - I'm told punching the security personnel out in the lobby - when they tried to confront them about the merchandise," Fayetteville Police spokesperson Dan Grubb said.

Police also want to question the women in connection with shoplifting incidents at the City Trends store in Spring Lake and Priscilla's in Fayetteville.
