APEX The fires hit two homes within a block of each on Sunday.

Fire Officials say a model home located on Bexley Hills Bend and a home under construction on Saint Emillion Court in the White Hall Manor subdivision off Apex Peakway both broke out in flames overnight.

Crews arrived on the scene just after 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, and were able to put the fires out within an hour.

No one was injured. Police say the homes were unoccupied and under construction at the time of the fires.

It has not been determined what caused the fires. Officials say they have not determined it was arson, but investigators went back to scene on Sunday looking for clues to determine how why and how the fires started.
