Twenty-six-year-old James Travis Lindahl of Spring Lake was charged with first-degree arson.
Investigators say Lindahl set fire to a home shortly after 4:00 a.m.
While no one was injured, the home was a total loss due to the fire.
The fire originated in a bathroom of the residence, where two young children, ages four and five, lived with their parents.
Lindahl is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, June 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the Detention Center Courtroom.
