Cunningham, Marshall debate again on TV

RALEIGH Secretary of State Elaine Marshall and Lexington attorney Cal Cunningham agreed on many issues discussed Tuesday nigh --they were both critical of regulators in the wake of the Gulf oil spill.

They also addressed immigration and the pair also outlined what they would do on Capitol Hill if they beat Richard Burr for the seat in November.

"I'm going to put six very hard-working years into rebuilding the foundation of our economy, working to get jobs growing," Cunningham said.

"I believe my first bill will be something about jobs for stimulating entrepreneurship, in particular," Marshall said. "North Carolina is hurting. We do need jobs."

The runoff will take place on June 22.
