Police say they received a tip Friday from someone in Buford, Georgia who recognized the suspects from an online posting.
The caller identified 29-year-olds Christopher Michael Dillard and Laprecia Lesane after a Google search produced results showing the pair was wanted in Fayetteville on several fraud related charges.
Police then learned the suspects were expected in Georgia store Friday afternoon to buy televisions.
Officers set up a sting and waited for the suspects at the store. Once Dillard and Lesane arrived they were arrested.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office will extradite the two back to North Carolina.
Dillard currently had 7 warrants on file with the Fayetteville Police Department for obtaining property by false pretenses and conspiracy.
Investigators say Dillard worked with Lesane to defraud victims by accepting down payments on apartment rentals they did not own nor have the authority to rent. Both suspects have multiple arrest warrants from various NC counties.
Dillard also is wanted in South Carolina for violating his probation.
