Money magazine: Cary one of best small towns

CARY

Cary, which is located in Wake County, ranked 23rd on the 2010 list of Best Small Cities to live. The magazine's editors were impressed with the town's low crime and unemployment rate.

The town also received kudos for hosting the tennis and collegiate championships.

Editors note one drawback, saying fast growth has produced overcrowded schools.

Chapel Hill, which is located in Orange County, is the only other NC town that ranked in the top 100. It came in at 40.

Editors site good education, a large amount of health care jobs and more than 700 acres of parks and additional protected natural areas as reasons why it is one of the best small towns.
