Ride will support memorial for fallen officers

RALEIGH

The Raleigh Police Memorial Foundation will hold an inaugural Five-O Memorial Bicycle Ride August 21.

Organizers say 50 and 100k loops will take riders on the "beautiful open roads of North Raleigh with a few hills for fun."

Rest stops and support vehicles on the route are included in a $35 entry fee ($40 day of the ride). There's even lunch provided at the finish.

The ride leaves from Trek Raleigh at 10911 Raven Ridge Road.

You can register online and get information about start times at BikeReg.com. All donations are tax deductible.
