The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a trooper has found 67 pounds of marijuana hidden in a tractor-trailer truck.

Patrol spokesperson Sergeant Jorge E. Brewer said Trooper Jack Clark was patrolling the northbound lane of I-95 in Nash County when he saw the truck commit a minor traffic violation late Wednesday afternoon.

After stopping the truck, Clark became suspicious and asked the driver to search the vehicle. Inside the cab, he found the pot with a street value of more than $270,000.

The driver, Arturo Mena of Miami, Florida, was arrested at the scene and charged with drug trafficking.
