Passenger in car robs driver

Durham police are looking for a man who they say robbed a person who was giving him a ride.

According to police, the victim was driving 23-year-old James Francis Washington to the hospital on July 13 when Washington allegedly pulled out a gun near the Durham Freeway and Swift Avenue and demanded money.

The victim said Washington took money from him and fled from the car.

Washington is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault by pointing a gun.
