Jared Harding Wilson, 34, faces multiple charges, including three counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor, and a count of first degree rape of a child.
Wilson is alleged to have committed the crimes between January 1 and June 30 of this year and they involve more than one victim.
Warrants say Wilson "feloniously did carnally know and abuse" the child, who was was under the age of 13 at the time of the attacks.
Wilson's arrest warrant also says he is a self-employed, internet marketer and lives in a north Raleigh neighborhood.
Neighbors told ABC11 Eyewitness News the Wilson's were a young and nice family. They say they were shocked by the allegations.
Wilson told a judge on Monday that he has retained a private attorney. His next court appearance is set for August 23.
Wilson remains in custody on a $2,000,000 bond.
