Durham police investigate triple shooting

DURHAM According to a watch commander, three people ranging in age from 15 to 30 were shot around 1:00am Saturday at an apartment complex at 405 E. Pilot Street, just down the road from a Durham Police substation.

Officials say the victims were two men and a woman.

Neighbors describe hearing as many as 20 shots in the exchange of gunfire, many of which hit cars, causing damage to windows, and flattening tires.

No suspects have been identified at this time, but an investigation is underway.

The shooting victims were all taken to Duke University Medical Center in serious condition, but their injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
