Police say the victim was walking in the 1200 block of Kent Road when two men approached him.
According to police, two male suspects approached 49-year-old Timothy Wayne Wadford and 60-year-old Michael Juston Richardson in the 1200 block of Kent Road. The victims were walking when the suspects approached them.
The Wadford and Richardson told police the suspects had guns and demanded money, so the men handed over their wallets and the contents of their pockets.
It is unclear what happened next, but shots were fired and Wadford was hit in the buttocks. He was taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both suspects fled the scene on foot and have not been caught.
