Wanted man allegedly exposes himself to kids

RALEIGH Authorities says the incidents happened in the 4000 block of Deep Hollow Drive and the 2600 block of New Hope Church Road.

The incident that happened on Deep Hollow Drive took place back in July, where police say the suspect exposed himself to an 4-year-old boy.

The other crime happened on Friday, when the suspect inappropriately touched an 3-year-old girl.

The suspect has been described as a white man in his twenties or thirties who is either balding or has very short hair. He may have a small beard or goatee, tattoos on his arms, and may have a tongue piercing. It is also possible that the suspect drives a green Chevrolet or Dodge pickup truck.

People who live in both areas say they hadn't heard about the sexual crimes involving the children and wish they had.

"They pass out flyers when there's a snake out roaming around, but when there's a 4-year-old, 3-year-old child I mean, you need a little more awareness," concerned parent Jerry Curry said.

Parents in both of the Raleigh neighborhoods say they will be more vigilant.

"There's a lot of kids here that go to Brentwood Elementary and they walk to school every morning," Curry said. "I got two young kids myself and we let them ride their bikes to school and I was definitely not aware of that."

In the meantime, anyone with information that might help identify the suspect is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department at 919-996-3555 or Raleigh CrimeStoppers at 919-834-HELP. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
