Durham police are asking the public for information about the August shooting of a cab driver.

Investigators say the taxi driver pulled into the Food Lion parking lot at 3022 Fayetteville Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. on August 28, when two men approached him. One of the suspects is described as tall with "big eyes."

Police say the 52-year-old cab driver was shot multiple times and suffered serious injuries. After the shooting, police believe the victim staggered from his taxi to the front doot of a substation for help.

The motive of the crime remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Emanuel at 560-4415, ext. 29306 or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
