Two fatal accidents on Durham roads

DURHAM Authorities responded to two separate accidents, both of which were fatal.

The first happened near Angier Avenue and Glover Road.

The State Highway Patrol says one person was killed when a car and pick-up truck collided around 11:30pm.

Angier Avenue was closed while the Highway Patrol investigated, and there is not yet word on what caused the crash.

Then, around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, 41-year-old Timothy Marcel Cuttino of Raleigh was killed when his 2008 Dodge crashed into a tree on South Roxboro Street.

Witnesses say the top of the car was crushed in.

Durham Police blocked off South Roxboro from Masondale Avenue to West Lawson Street while they investigated.

Police say speed appeared to be a factor.
