Durham police say they do not have a motive or a suspect in a shooting that left one person dead over the weekend.

Police responded to a "gunshot wound" call at Durham Regional Hospital around 11:44 p.m. Saturday. Police say friends took 19-year-old Carlos Noe Parada of Pine Glen Trail to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

Rivas later was taken to Duke Hospital where he died.

Police say they have no motive or suspects in the case. They're also trying to determine where the shooting took place.

The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information should call Master Officer D. C. West at 560-4440, ext. 29341 or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
