Shae Shannon Sheppard, 35, of Raleigh, was arrested on one count of felony conversion.
According to the arrest record, Sheppard is the owner of The French Bustle Bridal Shoppe at 101 S. Raiford Street in Selma.
Investigators say Sheppard was charged after a woman ordered a $429 wedding gown and $107 in jewelry from the business in June.
The victim was told to pick it up in early September, but after repeated calls to the store, she went there to find it had closed.
Sheppard's bond was set at $20,000.
Selma police are investigating to see if there are other possible cases.
