3 injured in shooting at Fayetteville sports bar

FAYETTEVILLE

Fayetteville Police said in a news release that the shooting happened early Sunday morning at Izzy's Sports Bar.

According to witnesses, the incident began as a fight around closing time outside the bar. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and began shooting.

Investigators did not identify the victims, but said two were in critical condition and one had life-threatening injuries.

Police said the shooter left the scene in a car and when officers tried to stop the car, three people jumped out and ran.

Police set up a perimeter and searched for the suspects. Using a thermal imager, one of the suspects was located in a dumpster and was arrested. Police recovered a handgun and a shotgun from the suspect vehicle.

Police charged 20-year-old Tony Terrance Moody of Fayetteville with accessory after the fact and are still looking for two suspects.
