Detectives searching for robbery suspect

Cumberland County Sheriff's Detectives are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery in the Spring Lake area.Investigators say the suspect entered the Kangaroo on North Bragg Boulevard around midnight on Sunday asking for directions to Wal-Mart.

He then told the store clerk that "this is a robbery" and demanded money.

The suspect held his hand in a pullover hoodie as if he had a gun hidden in the pocket. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money and called 911 for help.

The suspect is described as a white man that stands about 5' 9" tall. He has a small body frame with sandy brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a green hoodie with a light gray shirt underneath and a dark grey pair of sweat pants. He was last seen leaving the Kangaroo on foot toward North Main Street in Spring Lake.
