There were no students on the bus, and the driver was not hurt.
A person in the car, however, had to be cut out of the vehicle and taken to the hospital.
Other cars were damaged in the immediate aftermath of the wreck, as they tried to avoid it, but no one in those cars was hurt.
The freeway was shut down for more than 30 minutes while crews cleared the scene.
It has since re-opened.
