The video shows naked freshman Seth Pace throwing books all over the floor of the D.H. Hill Library Wednesday night.
NC State senior Devon Person says he was at the library on the bottom floor when the incident happened.
"All of a sudden I just saw a bunch of people running upstairs," he said. "I went to about the eighth floor and there was this rumor going around that there was this guy stripped naked and just started throwing books everywhere."
"Yeah it's all over Facebook," NC State sophomore Stephanie Renn said. "There was people, at least 20 people, who were right there taking videos of it with their phones cameras. I've seen at least five people post it all over my news feed."
The university says the student may have been under the influence of drugs. They also say he assaulted two students and was cited for indecent exposure and simple assault.
He was also taken to the hospital for evaluation.
"I never thought that would actually happen, but I guess you'll be surprised every day," Renn said.
It is unclear why Pace did it, but some say it was a prank.
"One of his friends is one of my friends and said he's been planning it for weeks, but I don't know," Person said.
