Man killed in deputy involved shooting

Wake County Deputies shot and killed a Wake Forest man while responding to a domestic dispute

A man is dead after being shot by a Wake County Sheriff's Office deputy responding to a domestic disturbance.It happened at around 1:45pm Saturday at a mobile home in the 12000 block of Bold Run Hill Road in Wake Forest.

Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison confirmed that at least three deputies fired shots while responding to the domestic dispute.

They say when they got there 23-year-old Cody Knisley came out with a gun. Eyewitnesses say authorities told him to drop the gun and when he didn't they fired shots.

Knisley died at the hospital.

The Wake County Sheriff says the State Bureau of Investigation has taken over the case.
