Authorities searching for hit-and-run driver

RALEIGH Police say a man was walking along the edge of Hillsborough Street in the early morning hours of Jan. 1, when someone driving a red Mazda Miata hit him.

The man sustained leg and head injuries.

Authorities say they are searching for the Mazda involved in the accident. They say it may have a missing passenger-side mirror and could have damage to the windshield, hood and front bumper.
